Coaching philosophy
Put the time in, don’t cheat yourself, don’t skip the small stuff and you will continue to grow and improve. It’s about hard work, consistency and staying injury free. Don’t forget to have a lot of fun in the process.
why did you start coaching?
I found I was doing a lot of coaching with patients in my chiropractic office. Often I worked together with other fellow coaches and realized I loved it. I have a lot of knowledge to give but also a lot to learn which excites me. Joining the StrideWise coaches with similar backgrounds is a great fit. It inspires me when I witness runners realize they can go that extra mile or hit that faster pace. I love watching the added confidence it brings not only to their running but everyday lives.
Favourite race distance and why?
Marathon hands down. There is something absolutely exhilarating about finishing a marathon that I don’t get from any other distance. The sense of accomplishment, pride and joy from the process keeps me going while grinding out a training cycle.
Biggest game changer in your own running:
The biggest game changer was asking for help. When my own improvements stalled, and I didn’t know how to get to the next level I asked for help. it is important to have someone in your corner to help guide you along the way.
